Date Formatter
Enter a date and see it in every common format at once, in the time zone and locale you choose. Build your own pattern with tokens like YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm.
Dates without an offset (like 2024-03-15 09:00) are read in the selected time zone. Strings ending in Z or +hh:mm keep their own offset.
How to format a date
- Enter a date (ISO string, timestamp or common format), or pick one.
- Choose a time zone and locale.
- Copy any of the formats shown.
- Type a custom pattern for a specific format.
Frequently asked questions
What date strings can I enter?
ISO 8601 (2024-03-15T14:30:00Z), date-only (2024-03-15), Unix timestamps, RFC 2822 (Fri, 15 Mar 2024 14:30:00 GMT) and most formats your browser's Date parser accepts. Ambiguous strings like 03/04/2024 are parsed the US way (month first) by browsers, so prefer ISO.
Where does locale formatting come from?
From your browser's built-in Intl.DateTimeFormat, which includes CLDR locale data for hundreds of languages and regions.
