Frequently asked questions
What is natural sort?
Natural sort compares numbers inside text by value, so 'file2' comes before 'file10'. Plain alphabetical sort would put 'file10' first because '1' comes before '2'.
How are non-numeric lines handled in numeric sort?
Lines are sorted by the first number they contain. Lines without a number are placed at the end, in alphabetical order.
