Frequently asked questions
What is a Unix timestamp?
The number of seconds since 1 January 1970 00:00:00 UTC (the Unix epoch), not counting leap seconds. JavaScript and many APIs use milliseconds instead.
What is the Year 2038 problem?
Systems that store timestamps as signed 32-bit integers overflow after 2,147,483,647 seconds, on 19 January 2038 at 03:14:07 UTC. DevKOM uses 64-bit numbers and is not affected.
